I purchased a Pentax ZX-10 35mm SLR camera in 1998 from Boyd's Camera in San Antonio, TX, as a replacement for my older Pentax ME Super. The ZX-10 is very nice and very reasonable, for the number of features available. The camera came with a 35-80 AF zoom, batteries, neck strap, and camera bag. I also purchased a 100-300 AF zoom. I later added the 28-200mm AF zoom and an AF-330FTZ Electronic Zoom flash. Very flexible system. The only thing that I would like to be added is a double/multiple exposure feature.

This camera has caught my eye! Pentax has released a new digital camera, the *ist D. This is a digital SLR (DSLR) which looks like an 35mm SLR camera. In fact, it is based on Pentax's new *ist film SLR.

2 reviews of *ist D are available at Digital Photography Review, and at Steve's Digicams. I will gladly accept donations towards the purchase of this camera for use with this webpage. :{)>

UPDATE: The Pentax EIC-90 finally bit the dust and stopped working. In February 2008, I purchased the Kodak ZD710 EasyShare digital camera. This takes nice 7.1 mega-pixel photos, and Quicktime MOV movie files. Lots of nice features, that I'm still learning about.

Pentax PDF files

I have several Pentax cameras, as you can guess from the camera photos above. I have found some Adobe PDF files for some of my camera equipment. Pentax maintains a PDF library for most of their products.

I have the following PDF files for my equipment:
